hanging around eagles

i was totally knocked out last night!!
came back from supper with KL leaders after midnight in a zombie state
it wasnt a long battle before i completely gave in to the monster bed

so here i am, yawning at noon (here comes another huge yawn)
physically am still tired but my soul is as fresh as the morning dew
indeed, 3 days with godly leaders in hope movement would do that to anyone

have shared plenty about my recent learning during sermon yesterday
so will just put up a couple of pictures here


that's martin from hope frankfurt (the blonde one, of course)
whilst taking PhD, he asked his prof if he could do his internship in asia
so that he could utilise his trip to learn from hope bangkok, spore n KL
thus he's been hanging around our office (and using my table haha)
and boy, he asks LOTS of questions! real humble to learn and hungry to grow!
he's going to KL on tue and then back to frankfurt around christmas
with leaders like him, we have a bright future in germany and europe!

ps arlene from hope HK is one woman of God that i admire greatly!
a mother of two, she has a vision of planting 100,000 churches!!
not just a dream, mind you! she has a clear plan how she'll do it
on top of her vision, she genuinely cares for people!
i wont forget her amazing hospitality when we were in HK
she gave us a sumptuous dimsum treat and shared why she's all out for Jesus
it was one of the best breakfasts i'd ever had in my life!
bit like mother hen, many people follow ps arlene cos they see her amazing heart

ahhh i have so few photos!! i must be the laziest camera-owner around!
will get more pictures and share more about other heroes!
just by hanging around them, my faith has been built up greatly
the saying goes, "if you wanna soar, hang around eagles not chicken"


last night we also had a great time celebrating daniel leow's 25th bday
it was a small affair with few close friends and lots of laughters



not so long ago, a skinny boy of 15 in white uniform walked into yhope
he had a serious anger problem (throwing knives at his mom n sis!)
and was hanging around a company with super negative influence

fast forward a little to a camp in st john's island
there were about 100 people there but God had his eyes on this boy
an exchange happened. a hard question was asked. surrender was given.

his journey as a musician hasnt been a smooth-sailing one, either
it was to-play-or-not-to-play for a pretty extended period
(feels like am writing his biography here)
he shared last night that years ago i encouraged him with this statement:
"daniel, you are my fave drummer!!"
(actually i said that to every drummer HAHAHA!!! noooo, kiddin...
i said that cos he's one drummer i know who's so in sync with Spirit's move)
anyway, he continued to persevere in developing this God-given talent

little did i know that years later he'd be the leader of our musicians
then again, i should've been able to tell (maybe subconsciously i did)
with such musical flair and big vision for God, he's the man! =D



am so proud to have daniel in our team, that's for sure!
may the year ahead be filled with much of God's presence and anointing, bro!
