writer's block

when i was a communications student, you were my greatest fear
when i submitted my final paper, i thought we said goodbye forever

now that i'm a preacher, lo and behold, you are back to haunt me!
not only that, you've grown into a huge monster, too!!

why, oh why... writer's block, be vanquished, in jesus' name...

will some chocolate help clear my mind?
*eyeing a block of hershey's special dark pris bought me from US*

while waiting for my brain to restart its engine,
here's a scene from last year's movie akeelah and the bee

---

Mr. Larabee: "Have you got any goals? What would you like to be when you grow up?
A doctor, a lawyer, a standup comic?"

Akeelah: "I don't know. The only thing I'm good at is spelling."

Mr. Larabee: "Go over there. And read the quotation that's on the wall.
Read it aloud please."

Akeelah: "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?'
Actually, who are you not to be?
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same."

Mr. Larabee: "Does that mean anything to you? What does it mean?"

Akeelah: "That I'm not supposed to be afraid"

Mr. Larabee: "Afraid of what?"

Akeelah: "Afraid of... me?"

---

dare you face it? we're not created to live mediocre existence
we were made for glory - His within us!
