ten hunks and a babe

jiehui: "shirls, this must be your lucky night..."
me : "and why is that?"
jiehui: "because you are out with ten hunks!!"

considering they got a babe in return, i must say it's fair exchange!

we went out to celebrate pete's 20th B-day over supper on sunday
they over-ordered, as usual! how we finished food for 30 people still puzzled me!
but no matter.. they're great guys! i love spending time with them!

and if you know pete personally, you'll know how kingdom-minded he is!
so it's my joy to know him! happy bday again, bro!

looking forward to another birthday dinner next week.. =D

oh, a paragraph that struck me today from moody's book on prayer:

Unless He attends the word in power, vain will be the attempt in preaching it.
Human eloquence or persuasiveness of speech are the mere trappings of the dead...

If we want that power to quicken our friends who are dead in sin,
we must look to God, and not be looking to man to do it.
If we look alone to Christ' disciples to do this work, we shall be disappointed.
If we look to the Spirit of God and expect it to come from Him and Him alone,
then we shall honour the Spirit, and the Spirit will do His work.
