after being away for 12 days... i'm so glad to be back! i missed my vaio, my subwoofer and the scent of my own bed (in that order) but in return, i gained much (thoughts & kilos) from the time away in true melancholy nature, i shall break the journaling into three parts firstly, we went to a conference @ kanchanaburi, thailand we left last sat - the moment service ended, we vroomed on a cab to changi singing "am leeeaaavin on a jet plaaaaane..." all of them lookin so excited... they were grinning like kids on Christmas!  i, on the other hand, chose to (later on) hide under my jacket and zzzzz (must conserve energy to explode at the right moment mah~) when we reached kanchanaburi, i realised it was a most idyllic place 5-star resort in the midst of nature, seriously, we're so blessed!  trees, waters and benches the perfect ingredients for extended time with my Maker *woohoo* we also took time to explore 'death railway' (415km long over River Kwai) mind you, the train still uses it and it did come while we crossed halfway so we escaped to the side ledges and took photo (tourists!) till it went off some of us w acrophobia (fear of heights) were giddy, trying not to look down  that's EC crossing the bridge with style most cool of all: ps thor (hope norway), he jogged across the bridge at sunset!  dewen, DK, brandon & jiehui played soccer with int'l pastors (ps PN, too) our useless guys got trashed 4-0 *tsk tsk tsk* according to them, u just can't tackle God's anointed so... what to do...  that's everyone enjoying themselves after conference ended  clockwise from top: jiehui (posing like a model), DK, EC, veron, cheng, eelee, brandon, dewen, ah-leow, gwen and eleanor (hope melbourne) most importantly, of course, we learned much about leadership! i dont aim to be a big shot. i merely want to take care of God's flock - well. Others tell. Leaders sell. Others impress. Leaders influence. Others try to be heard. Leaders strive to be understood. Others explain. Leaders energise. Others inform. Leaders inspire. Others relay only facts. Leaders tell stories. and now, it's time to apply. =) listenin -- love song for saviour by jars of clay ahhh... oldies are still the best...
