weekends

another weekend's just come n gone. actually every day lived for God is exciting but i simply love weekends cos i get to see many people at one go! which is really weird considering i'm a 'C/S' (according to DISC test) or 'INTJ' (according to myers & briggs). but according to God, i'm a 'shepherd of his flock' - and God has a bigger say than any test in the world hehehe...

but i digressed. back to weekends, the past several ones have been truly noteworthy. three weekends ago we hosted Hope HK student leaders and they gave a dinner treat in return. as they shared how our young people spurred them to build a God-honouring youth ministry, God moved in me, "see, this is why I started the ministry." so cool to serve him together all over the world!

two saturdays ago we had Service Planning Team farewell at roy's place (full of heartfelt affirmation plus violent games of car crash and bullying deaf girl). it's hard to say bye to a team that's endured much of my tyranny and never-ending demands =D but, like what we said that night, the successor team has to be even better for God's church must grow from strength to strength!! still, once again, david, joseph, justin, livi, roy, susi & wenjun - THANK U for building such solid foundation in our youth service! =) anyway, that night i only slept for four hours and the next day zonked out throughout gideon's bday celebration. we idiotically tried to dig a hole shaped '21' and put candles in them but the wind kept blowing them off. finally the guys poured fuel liquid (!!!) and ka-boom! we had a crackling fire to make a DIY fondue (super no-standard one! hahaha...)

and last sat! love it cos we finally started 'God Is Nearer Than You Think'! and love it cos i got to spend time with the CLs! we had 643 youths reached for God in nexus last sat so we celebrated big time and singapore rained chocolate that night! i'm so proud of this team! God knows how hard you've worked to serve the people. thanks, guys!! next, let's see 750 youths worshipping Jesus by end of this year!

so, already i'm looking forward to the coming weekend! but for now, i'd better end this long entry. next one: i'll post a pic of this week's retreat with ps ben's team =)
